“This team had formed & stormed before it got to India and I was lucky to see it perform whilst on expedition. They rose to every test, repeatedly stretched themselves and existed well outside of their comfort zones. They followed their own advice and really did allow themselves to engage completely with this wonderful, stimulating and challenging country.
Watching them arrive back in the UK was my magic
moment, not to see the back of them, but to see them walk tall and confident
into the arrivals hall, some of them wearing suits that they had had
tailored in Delhi; and to see their parents looking at their new grown
sons. They are a credit to their parents and to the school, but most
of all they are a credit to themselves”.
Elaine Brown – Expedition Leader
We run a maximum of twenty school’s expeditions per year providing
quality experiential learning in remote overseas environments. Students lead
the expedition themselves, with the guidance of fully qualified leaders.
The types of expeditions we arrange are:
Long-Haul Personal Development and Project-based Expeditions
Short-Haul Personal Development and Project-based Expeditions
Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Expeditions
All expeditions can include an adventurous challenge and a phase of community or environmental project work, as well as some cultural activities that are all included in the cost. It is up to you how much of each you want to include, and you plan your own itinerary using the guidance and expertise of the Wilderness staff and Expedition Leaders.
Our Expedition Leaders are of the highest calibre. We aim to appoint them at the start of the programme, and they are involved with the team from the very beginning ensuring a quality experience over a long period of time.
