Short Haul Expeditions (7-14 days)
Building Up To Departure
There are six broad stages in the evolution of our Expeditions and Wilderness
Expertise provides close support throughout every stage. The whole process
takes on average 12 months to allow time for itinerary planning, choice
of project, raising funds and training. There are fewer modules to the Short-Haul
Expeditions (you will receive a parents presentation and 4-days of UK training
course (itinerary planning and expedition skills training) in the run-up
to departure), although you can opt to attach other modules in addition
to what is already included. Returning team members will all be sent a CD
containing a Post-Expedition Report, a Personal Achievement Report, photos
from the expedition and a Certificate of Achievement. 12 months is the ideal
time period, although we are flexible and have been known to organise an
expedition in as little as three weeks!
