We provide a one day certificated First Aid course for the team focussing
upon the First Aid needs on an Expedition, including basic incident management.
A qualified First Aid trainer will run the day and the students will
receive a certificate which is valid for 2 years. Wilderness Expertise
will provide all specialist equipment for the day.
All team members need to complete medical forms as part of the expedition paperwork. These are kept confidential to the Expedition Leader and Wilderness Expertise office staff and are necessary to ensure we hold the most up to date information on each team member.
All Expedition Leaders hold Advanced First Aid qualifications and cover First Aid issues on both UK Training Courses. They also run First Aid scenarios for the team to test their knowledge and enforce their learning.
Wilderness Expertise can also offer more extensive First Aid courses for teachers and Expedition Leaders through our partner company Training Expertise.
