Short Course Programmes
Our Short Courses offer a rich choice of opportunity focused on developing vital life skills in young people. As separate courses they stand alone but they can be integrated to form a co-curricular personal development plan through out the school via our Out-sourcing service. Programmes are adapted to meet the needs and learning outcomes you decide for the young people. Courses can be run anywhere in the UK from the school or youth group's site to outdoor centres. We have even been known to travel over to the continent for a week or two.
Recently, the Short Courses team at Wilderness Expertise hosted the Southern Region IOL (Institute of Outdoor Learning) conference. The day was a huge success, with well over 100 outdoor practitioners present. The key note speech from Martin Tomlinson (West Sussex OEA) set the tone for the day, outlining the latest Government initatives that affect outdoor education (many of which Wilderness Expertise has been involved with) and there then followed a series of workshops.
