1. The team members
The students are at the heart of their expedition. When they sign up they will embark on a comprehensive training programme, from destination research and a health and hygiene course, to a 4-day mini-expedition in a remote location in the UK. Throughout the training there is an emphasis on developing a responsible attitude that is vital to achieving a safe and enjoyable expedition. By the time they depart the team are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to take on leadership and management roles in the day-to-day running of their itinerary, all under the watchful guidance of their Expedition Leader.
With our philosophy based on the students leading their own expedition, each team member will have several opportunities to take on the role as student leader on each day of the expedition giving them responsibility for the team under the guidance of the Expedition Leader.
