Welcoming Stephen Parsons to the Wilderness Expertise Team

We’re delighted to announce that Stephen Parsons will be joining Wilderness Expertise this September as our new Operations Manager.

Stephen joins us as a full-time member of the team and will play a key role in leading our operational framework across all of our programmes. His responsibilities will include overseeing programme delivery, working as a Course Director in the field, and leading our quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure we continue delivering the exceptional standards of safety, professionalism and educational impact that Wilderness Expertise is known for.

Many of our freelance instructors and partner schools may already know Stephen. A graduate in Outdoor Adventure Education, he has spent his career delivering, developing and managing outdoor learning programmes for young people across the UK.

Throughout his career, Stephen has held senior leadership roles within the outdoor education sector, including running his own outdoor education company. This breadth of experience has given him an in-depth understanding of operational management, safety systems, staff leadership and the delivery of outstanding programmes.

Stephen is a qualified Mountain Leader and holds an Off Site Safety Management award. He is particularly passionate about creating robust, effective systems that not only keep young people safe but also enable meaningful, life-changing experiences in the outdoors.

As Wilderness Expertise continues to grow, Stephen’s appointment represents another important step in strengthening our operations and ensuring we continue to provide schools, participants and our freelance team with the highest levels of support and quality.
